Panchkula, April 11: Raipur Rani police have booked ten individuals for allegedly assaulting a man and his son, and issuing death threats.
The accused—identified as Sahil, Ikran, Gulzar, Kala, Sajid, Dilshad, Yusuf, Jangsher, Nasar, and Sitar—have been charged based on a complaint filed by Abdul Gufar.
Gufar told police that Ikran and Sahil attacked his son near the market around 7 pm on Wednesday, threatening to kill him.
After his son narrated the incident, Gufar visited the accused’s residence, where the group allegedly assaulted him. He claimed Sahil tried to strike him with an axe but was stopped by Sadhu and Leelu, who intervened after hearing his cries.
Police have registered a case under multiple sections, including voluntarily causing hurt, rioting with deadly weapons, and criminal intimidation. A manhunt has been launched to trace the suspects.
