Khadoor Sahib, Oct 4: As many as 24 students from Nishan-E-Sikhi (NDA Wing), Khadoor Sahib, have cleared the written examination of the National Defence Academy (NDA) conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The institution, which operates under the patronage of Baba Sewa Singh Kar Sewa Khadoor Sahib (Tarn Taran), has once again upheld its reputation for grooming future officers of the Indian armed forces.

All the successful candidates will now appear for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews, the next step in the rigorous NDA selection process. Notably, 26 students from Nishan-E-Sikhi are already serving as commissioned officers in the Indian defence forces.

Major General Balwinder Singh (retd), Director of the NDA Wing, attributed the achievement to sustained dedication and disciplined training. “A lot of effort has gone into achieving these excellent results,” he said.

Congratulating the students, Baba Sewa Singh lauded their hard work and encouraged them to remain focused for the upcoming SSB interviews. “This success is just the beginning. Continue working with the same spirit and commitment to serve the nation,” he told them.

On the occasion, several dignitaries and faculty members were present, including Baba Baldev Singh, Faculty In-charge Dinesh Gupta, Deputy Director Col Gurmeet Singh (retd), Director Dr Kamaljit Singh, Secretary Waryam Singh, Baldev Singh Sandhu, Col Darshan Singh Bawa, and Subedar Kulwant Singh.

The institution’s continued success, they said, reflects its mission to instill discipline, determination, and patriotism among Punjab’s youth.
