Solan: A Uttarakhand depot bus overturned near the Kandaghat tunnel in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district, injuring 30 passengers around 1:50 pm, according to reports.
The bus was en route from Shimla to Tanakpur when the accident occurred. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
Solan SP Gaurav Singh said that while most of the injured were treated at Kandaghat civil hospital, six were referred to IGMC Shimla and Zonal Hospital, Solan for advance care.
An FIR was registered at Kandaghat police station under Sections 281 and 125A of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) based on a statement from Jai Kumar, who reported that the bus, tailgating and speeding, collided with a tipper truck before breaking through tunnel barricades and overturning in the tunnel yard.
