Mumbai, April 17: — Sunny Deol’s action drama Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni, is inching toward the Rs 60 crore mark at the domestic box office, becoming the third biggest hit of Deol’s career after the Gadar film series.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Jaat collected an estimated Rs 4 crore nett on its first Wednesday, maintaining a steady pace. The film has accumulated approximately Rs 57.50 crore nett in seven days and is projected to close its extended eight-day opening week with Rs 60 crore—considered a solid number for a mid-budget title.

“The numbers reflect consistent audience interest throughout the week,” noted a distributor familiar with the box office trends.

Here’s the day-wise India nett collection for Jaat, as per Sacnilk:

Thursday: Rs 9.5 crore
Friday: Rs 7 crore
Saturday: Rs 9.75 crore
Sunday: Rs 14 crore
Monday: Rs 7.25 crore
Tuesday: Rs 6 crore
Wednesday: Rs 4 crore
Total: Rs 57.50 crore

The film has one more day to perform without direct competition before Kesari Chapter 2, led by Akshay Kumar, enters theatres. The upcoming sequel carries strong pre-release buzz and may impact Jaat’s momentum in the coming days.

“Kesari 2 could pull in sizable crowds initially,” said a trade analyst. “But if the word-of-mouth doesn’t hold, Jaat might regain its screens and continue its run.”

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Jaat also stars Randeep Hooda and Viineet Kumar Singh in key roles.
