Mumbai/Ayodhya: Rhea Singha, recently crowned Miss Universe India 2024, is set to portray the role of Sita in Ayodhya’s grand Ramlila this year. The Ramlila, a traditional theatrical performance of the Ramayana, holds immense cultural and religious significance in Hindusim.
The folk re-enactment will also feature prominent actors Bhagyashree as Maa Vedavati and Malini Awasthi as Maa Shabari, Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan as Bali and Sugriva, alongside 42 other performers.
Sharing her excitement, Rhea said, “This year is special for me in many ways. With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, I got the opportunity to play the role of Sita in the world’s biggest Ramlila of Ayodhya. I am very excited about this.”
She further expressed gratitude to the organizing committee for inviting her to perform in the birthplace of Shri Ram. “I consider myself extremely privileged to have been a part of the Ramayana and had the opportunity to play Maa Sita. I will seek the blessings of Lord Shri Ram and Maa Sita to win the Miss Universe title this year,” she added.
