Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali), October 30: Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh on Thursday formally launched renovation and constructioworks of four key roads in his constituency, with a total cost of ₹2.13 crore. He said the projects would help smoothen traffic flow and improve infrastructure for local residents.

“These development works reflect the Punjab government’s commitment towards modern infrastructure and public convenience,” Singh said. Each project includes a five-year maintenance clause and will be completed within six months, he added.

The roads include Dhurali–Raipur Khurd, Dhirpur–Gobindgarh, Gige Majra–Gudana, and Daon–Ramgarh stretches. The 1.15 km Dhurali–Raipur Khurd road will be widened from 10 to 18 feet using 80 mm paver blocks at a cost of ₹84.48 lakh.

The Dhirpur–Gobindgarh road, 1.45 km in length, will cost ₹30 lakh, while the 1.76 km Gige Majra–Gudana road will be upgraded for ₹38.26 lakh. The Daon–Ramgarh road, spanning 1.33 km, will be widened and renovated with paver blocks at a cost of ₹61 lakh.

Singh said the works, last upgraded between 2016 and 2018, will “change the face of Mohali” and give residents durable, well-maintained roads.
