Abohar, December 5 — A woman died after the car she was travelling in crashed into a tractor-trolley near Balluana Colony, about 10 km from Abohar, police said Friday.
The family was returning to Tara Estate Colony after attending a wedding in Ludhiana. The occupants — Sushil Mittal, his wife Sunita, daughter Aastha and niece Muskan — were in the car when the driver allegedly lost control and rammed into the trolley ahead.
Sunita suffered critical injuries and was first taken to a private hospital, then shifted to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Police said the others sustained minor injuries.
Relatives said Sunita was closely related to Rohtash Gupta, who runs a well-known sweets shop in the area.
