LUDHIANA, Dec 21 — A 16-year-old girl was killed and five other teenagers were injured when their car collided with an SUV on the Ludhiana–Ferozepur national highway on Sunday, police said.
The accident occurred as the group was returning from a birthday party, police said. Their car struck an SUV under circumstances that are being investigated.
“The girl died on the spot due to the impact,” a police official said.
The five injured passengers were rushed to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.
Police said further investigation is underway.
