Jammu, Feb 17: Two Pakistani nationals who escaped from a juvenile facility in RS Pura on Monday have been apprehended in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir Police officials confirmed Tuesday. The suspects were taken into custody following a rapid coordinated search operation conducted by specialized police teams across state lines.

The escape occurred Monday evening at the Juvenile Observation Home in the RS Pura sector of Jammu. Official sources stated that the two Pakistani inmates, accompanied by a local individual described as a gangster, managed to flee the high-security facility at approximately 5:05 PM. The group reportedly launched a violent assault on the personnel assigned to guard duty to facilitate their exit.

During the physical confrontation, two security officers sustained injuries while attempting to prevent the breach. Authorities identified the wounded personnel as Head Constable Parveen Kumar and Special Police Officer Vinay Kumar, both of whom required medical attention following the incident. “The trio assaulted the on-duty guards and managed to flee from the facility,” an official source maintained.

Investigators affirmed that the entire sequence of events was recorded by the facility’s CCTV surveillance system. In addition to the physical assault, the escapees were suspected of taking a pistol from the guards during the struggle. Following the capture of the two foreign nationals in Punjab, the administration noted that the swift arrest was the result of a high-priority pursuit involving multiple districts.
