Chandigarh, February 28, 2026: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated on Friday that the acquittal of Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and other senior leaders in the alleged liquor scam has completely exposed a politically motivated conspiracy. Reacting to the Delhi court’s decision, the Minister asserted that the verdict provides a clean chit to leaders including Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and Satyendar Jain, revealing that the case was a fabricated narrative.

The Minister maintained that the central government misused investigative agencies to defame the party leadership and obstruct their work. He declared that the judicial outcome serves as a victory for the Constitution and the principles of justice established by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Cheema noted that while an attempt was made to question the party’s honesty, the lack of evidence has now become clear to the entire nation.

“The court’s verdict proves that the Constitution stands above all,” Cheema affirmed. He added that the case would be remembered in legal history as an instance where manufactured allegations failed to withstand judicial scrutiny. The Minister stated that the Union government must now answer for the attempt to criminalize honest politics through the misuse of the CBI and ED.

Cheema further declared that the opposition’s discomfort stems from the success of the education and healthcare revolutions led by Kejriwal and Sisodia. He maintained that the Aam Aadmi Party remains committed to the ideology of Babasaheb Ambedkar, focusing on dignity and quality services for the poor. He asserted that truth has prevailed over falsehood, marking a day of celebration for those who believe in democratic values.
