Chandigarh/Patiala, February 28, 2026: The Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab Media In-charge, Baltej Singh Pannu, stated on Friday that the Delhi court’s decision to discharge Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia has effectively demolished a “politically motivated conspiracy.” Addressing a press conference, Pannu maintained that the judicial outcome in the alleged liquor scam case has rekindled the common person’s faith in the nation’s legal system.
Pannu affirmed that the court found the case entirely unfit to proceed due to a complete lack of evidence. He noted that the detailed judicial order made it clear that no recovery of cash or incriminating documents existed to sustain a trial. The media in-charge asserted that a case without a foundational basis could not continue under the scrutiny of the law.
The AAP leader maintained that the party’s global recognition for reforms in education and healthcare made it a target for political opponents. He stated that when rivals failed to match the governance and integrity of the Kejriwal administration, they resorted to misusing agencies to fabricate a false narrative. Pannu questioned the whereabouts of the alleged funds, noting that the months spent in jail by senior leaders can never be returned to them.
“We were proud of our leaders yesterday, we are proud today, and we will remain proud,” Pannu declared during the briefing. He stated that the verdict is a victory for the principles of truth and justice.
He further paid tribute to the Constitution drafted by B. R. Ambedkar, asserting that the framework continues to safeguard the rights of the innocent. Pannu concluded by stating that the victory would further deepen the party’s roots across the country, as the public now sees the reality behind the “so-called scam” narrative.
