Mohali, March 25: Mohali Police on Wednesday submitted a comprehensive chargesheet before the court of Area Magistrate Sangam Council regarding the fatal shooting of Kabaddi promoter Digvijay Singh, widely known as Rana Balachauria. The 350-page legal document details the findings of the investigation into the December 15, 2025, incident that occurred during a sports tournament in Sohana.
The police have named eight individuals in the challan, including Jugraj Singh, Ashdeep, Mandeep Singh Mota, Gagandeep Singh, Akashdeep, Tarandeep, Davinder alias Tikka, and shooter Karan Pathak. These individuals face various charges under the law, including murder. Investigators stated that approximately 55 witnesses have been cited to testify during the upcoming trial to establish the sequence of events.
In addition to the primary chargesheet, authorities affirmed that they are actively pursuing several other suspects who remain at large. Arrest warrants have been issued for shooter Aditya Kapoor and several others, including Baljinder Doni Bal and Jasdeep. A police spokesperson declared that the department is committed to bringing all involved parties to justice and maintained that the investigation remains ongoing for the absconding individuals.
The broad scope of the 350-page filing suggests a detailed mapping of the conspiracy that led to the violence at the public sporting event. Law enforcement officials asserted that the evidence collected includes forensic reports and eyewitness accounts from the tournament site.
