The actor filed an official complaint with the Cyber Crime Department this week, seeking a probe into what he described as a deliberate reputation smear involving a claimed Rs 5 crore transaction.
The allegations, which suggested a personal link between the comedian and an unnamed actress, triggered widespread speculation online. Ghuggi stated that such baseless narratives are designed to undermine his honesty and long-standing reputation in the film industry. He affirmed that the matter is now in the hands of investigators who are tracking the origin of the viral claims.
“Certain individuals are deliberately trying to tarnish my reputation,” the actor asserted during a public response to the controversy. He credited his supporters and specific social media figures for highlighting the issue, which he said was crucial in moving the case toward a legal resolution. Ghuggi also praised media outlets that performed due diligence and verified facts before disseminating the YouTuber’s claims.
