Mumbai, April 7: The spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ has officially overtaken the lifetime domestic collection of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’, according to the latest box office reports. On its 20th day of release, the film collected ₹10.10 crore, pushing its total India net collection to ₹1,033.37 crore and surpassing the previous record of ₹1,030.42 crore.

Industry analysts stated that the sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar, has shown remarkable resilience in its third week. The film’s total gross collection in India now stands at ₹1,237.21 crore. With this milestone, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has moved past several major blockbusters, including ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, ‘RRR’, and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.

The narrative follows Ranveer Singh’s character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, as he dismantles terror networks while rising through the ranks of the underworld. The film has received widespread acclaim from the film fraternity and sports icons alike. “Ranveer Singh you have attained a different level after this movie and your performance was beyond brilliant,” cricket star Virat Kohli affirmed in a social media post, describing the four-hour epic as a unique cinematic experience.

To secure the title of the highest-grossing Indian release of all time, the film must now surpass the ₹1,234.10 crore net haul of the Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa 2: The Rise’. Experts maintained that while a midweek dip in collections was observed, the film’s current momentum suggests it remains a strong contender for the top spot in the coming days.
