Technical teams work to restore connectivity after massive Sunday morning failure

Chandigarh, April 12: Reliance Jio’s Fiber internet and fixed-line voice services suffered a nationwide collapse on Sunday, leaving millions of home and business consumers stranded. The glitch, which emerged during the early morning hours, affected major urban centers including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh, as well as several regions across Punjab and Haryana.

The technical failure extended to the company’s internal support systems, rendering the MyJio mobile application and official website useless for affected customers. Without access to landline or broadband services, many users took to alternative mobile platforms to report that their routers and fixed-line connections were completely unresponsive. A Reliance Jio official affirmed that the disruption was nationwide and maintained that efforts are underway to bring the network back online.

Industry trackers and outage monitoring platforms noted a sharp spike in complaints throughout the morning. Reports indicated that both traditional Fiber and the newer AirFiber platforms were impacted by the snag. “Technical teams were on the job and services were likely to be restored shortly,” a company representative stated, though the firm has yet to issue a formal press statement regarding the root of the problem.

This incident follows a separate disruption earlier in April where users flagged significant connectivity drops and issues with recharge systems. Given Jio’s position as the largest telecom operator in the country, the impact on home work environments and communication has been substantial. Authorities stated that until the MyJio app is fully functional, consumers have been advised to check for updates on the company’s verified social media accounts.
