CHANDIGARH, JUNE 1—The Punjab government on Monday revised its administrative calendar by extending the official timeline for the general transfers of state officers and employees. According to an official communication distributed by the Department of Personnel, the window for executing routine administrative realignments across various state cadres will now remain open until June 14, 2026.
The structural modification extends a process that was previously bound by an earlier regulatory bracket. Under the initial framework, the administration had locked the transfer operations between April 15 and May 30, 2026. Officials noted that the newly issued directive effectively grants departments an additional fortnight to complete structural updates and personnel realignments.
An administrative official noted that the extension aims to streamline pending procedural reviews within different wings of the state bureaucracy. Representatives from the Department of Personnel stated that all line departments have been instructed to finalize their respective deployment rosters within the freshly prescribed window to maintain service continuity.
