Chandigarh, June 30: Indian music sensation Badshah has formally entered the elite tier of the global music industry, securing the position of the fifth most-viewed hip-hop artist worldwide on YouTube. According to verified data from music analytics authority Chartmasters, the rapper has accumulated over 26.1 billion views, establishing an unprecedented milestone for the domestic music scene.

The accomplishment marks a notable shift in international listening trends, as Badshah represents the sole Indian creator inside a top tier historically occupied by global powerhouse names such as Drake, Eminem, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne. While other prominent subcontinental hip-hop acts, including the late Sidhu Moosewala and hitmaker Karan Aujla, earned placements within Chartmasters’ broader tracking of the top 1,000 global hip-hop artists, none have climbed into the leading five slots.

Music analysts declared that the statistics validate a major breakthrough for regional sounds. Chartmasters representatives affirmed the historic nature of the ranking, pointing out that this particular bracket had previously remained inaccessible to artists originating outside the traditional Western hip-hop markets.

The international breakthrough arrives as Badshah celebrates two decades in the music business, a career footprint consisting of more than 150 independent and film tracks that have generated over 25 billion collective streams across all major digital audio platforms. The rapper currently commands the absolute lead among Indian hip-hop figures on Spotify as well, where he logs an impressive 19.9 million monthly listeners, maintaining a steady lead over contemporary regional stars like Yo Yo Honey Singh, AP Dhillon, Shubh, and Hanumankind.
