Lucknow, July 3: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially opened the Aam Mahotsav-2026 in Lucknow on Friday by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and honoring the state’s top-performing cultivators for their agricultural contributions. The event commenced with the departure of specialized transport vehicles loaded with premium regional mango varieties destined for various markets. The Chief Minister also unveiled the official Aam Mahotsav-2026 souvenir during the main ceremony to document the state’s progress in horticulture.
“The efforts of our local growers remain vital to advancing the agricultural prestige of the state,” administration officials asserted during the function. The presentation recognized exceptional horticultural practices across several districts, with honors presented to prominent progressive growers, including Basant Kumar of Saharanpur, Asha Singh of Sitapur, and Achal Kumar Mishra of Lakhimpur Kheri.
The celebration showcased a wide array of regional produce, drawing participation from leading cultivation hubs. Growers from Unnao, Kasganj, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Hapur, and Amroha were recognized alongside established local institutions such as Awadh Nursery and individual experts from Malihabad and Lucknow for their dedication to preserving and improving indigenous mango varieties.
