NEW DELHI/CHANDIGARH, AUGUST 19: Education and healthcare form the core foundation of national growth, with progress remaining impossible without quality public services in these two sectors, declared Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Responding on X after an outdated video depicting a Punjab government school circulated on social media, the AAP Chief stated that the immediate ground inspection by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains demonstrated the administration’s clear priorities. He maintained that basic infrastructure has already been provided to the vast majority of government schools across Punjab, with work ongoing to cover all remaining facilities.

Expressing satisfaction over the expanding nationwide discourse on schooling, Arvind Kejriwal stated, “I am so happy that today education and schools are being discussed everywhere in the country. It has become a people’s movement.”

The AAP Convenor asserted that his party transformed state-run schools first in Delhi and is currently replicating that success in Punjab. He noted that numerous parents in both regions have actively transferred their children from private institutions into government schools as facilities and teaching standards improved to rival leading private setups.

Referring directly to the viral video incident, Arvind Kejriwal affirmed, “Today someone posted an old video of a Punjab government school. I am glad that the Education Minister himself visited that school to verify the situation on the ground.” He added that providing top-tier, free education and health services to every citizen remains essential for long-term progress.
