Ludhiana, August 19: In a major breakthrough against transnational organized crime, Punjab Police coordinated with central agencies to secure the deportation of three wanted operatives affiliated with the Davinder Bambiha gang from Malaysia.
Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav confirmed the development, identifying the detained suspects as Jaspreet Singh alias Jas Behbal, Ajay Singh, and Pawandeep Singh. The trio faces multiple serious charges across Punjab involving murder, extortion, illegal arms, and an alleged plot to execute a hand-grenade attack in Ludhiana linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence.
The Overseas Fugitive Tracking and Extradition Cell under the Counter Intelligence Wing tracked the suspects internationally before coordinating their deportation back to India. State police officers took the three operatives into custody at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi immediately upon their arrival.
DGP Gaurav Yadav affirmed on social media platform X that the arrest marks a decisive blow against foreign-based criminal networks operating on Punjab soil. Law enforcement teams are transporting the accused back to the state to initiate detailed custodial interrogation and unravel the broader conspiracy.
