FARIDKOT: Maintaining strict oversight during NEET-UG admissions, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) reinstated four candidates after verifying that their applications complied with state admission guidelines. The aspirants had previously faced action alongside 21 others for allegedly applying under both the Punjab State Quota and corresponding state quotas elsewhere, which is restricted under Clause 18 of the state government’s policy framework.
University records indicated that the initial list of 25 debarred applicants included candidates with dual submissions across Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Uttarakhand. BFUHS authorities maintained that inter-state data cross-referencing continues across all categories to prevent overlapping quota claims. The varsity affirmed that admissions for all restored applicants will proceed strictly based on merit and complete documentary compliance.
