LUCKNOW — Addressing citizens through an open letter marking Teacher’s Day and the upcoming International Literacy Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that artificial intelligence (AI) and digital literacy have become essential necessities alongside foundational education. Reflecting on his recent honor of 81 state educators, the Chief Minister affirmed that modern schooling must blend India’s traditional Gurukul values with contemporary science and emerging technologies. He noted that state initiatives—such as the developing AI City in Lucknow and Kanpur’s drone ecosystem—are positioning Uttar Pradesh to leverage technology across healthcare, agriculture, and industry.

The Chief Minister maintained that state-level interventions like Operation Kayakalp, Mission Prerna, and the Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana have significantly upgraded school infrastructure, improved educational quality, and reduced student dropout rates. Commending teachers as the vital link instilling discipline, self-confidence, and curiosity in youth, he declared that universal literacy requires active social participation. The letter concluded with an appeal to citizens to ensure every child attends school, accesses skill development, and achieves digital awareness.
