RAJPURA, OCT 2 — Patiala police have taken two individuals into custody for allegedly inciting students and escalating tensions on the Chitkara University campus in Rajpura through misleading posts and rumors spread across online platforms.
A police spokesperson affirmed that the arrested suspects, identified as Himanshu of Nangal and Aryan of Ambala, were apprehended following a detailed examination of digital activities and circulated messages that contributed to the unrest. A First Information Report was registered at the Banur police station, leading investigators to identify key individuals responsible for circulating provocative content among the student body.
Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police Harmandeep Singh Hans declared that law enforcement remains fully committed to maintaining public order and preventing the misuse of digital networks to disrupt peace. Police teams have been dispatched to trace and arrest ten other individuals named in the same case.
Investigators maintained that strict action will continue against anyone attempting to compromise campus safety through fake news and digital misdirection.
