NEW DELHI, OCT 13: India on Tuesday firmly rejected objections raised by China regarding New Delhi’s official standardization of names for 28 geographical locations in Ladakh. Official representatives maintained that the Union Territory of Ladakh remains an integral and inalienable part of the country.

External Affairs Ministry spokespersons affirmed that administrative measures taken within sovereign Indian territory require no external validation, asserting that external denial cannot alter established historical and territorial facts.

Diplomatic officials declared that the formal identification of these places on Survey of India maps was executed following consultations with the local administration of Ladakh and regional stakeholders. Ministry representatives asserted that standardizing geographical nomenclature is a routine administrative procedure aimed at enhancing official mapping accuracy and improving public awareness. Authorities stated that external diplomatic statements carry no legal or practical validity over internal governance decisions.

Government sources affirmed that official cartographic updates covering frontier features along the Line of Actual Control maintain operational clarity for local administration and defense personnel. Officials declared that India will continue implementing necessary administrative and infrastructural measures across all border regions to ensure systematic governance and regional development.
