HOSHIARPUR — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann dedicated 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the state, bringing the total number of operational facilities to 1,245 and reinforcing the government’s focus on accessible primary healthcare.
Speaking at a public gathering in village Harkhowal within the Chabbewal region on Wednesday, Chief Minister Mann emphasized that the administration’s primary mission is to deliver dependable healthcare, education, and employment. He reported that existing clinics have recorded over 6.48 crore out-patient department (OPD) visits, offering vital relief and free diagnostic services to families across the region.
“Today, we have dedicated 154 new Aam Aadmi Clinics to the people of Punjab,” stated CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. “Our government’s job is not to make people raise slogans of victory or defeat, but to ensure healthcare, education and employment for the people. The traditional political parties have only looted Punjab. They may resort to any number of malicious tactics to defame us, but as long as I have the love and trust of the people, I have nothing to fear from them.”
During his address, the Chief Minister detailed the progress of the Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, noting that over 54 lakh families have been issued health cards providing up to ₹10 lakh in cashless medical treatment. He added that nearly 8 lakh beneficiaries have already utilized the insurance scheme for necessary treatments.
Addressing staffing enhancements, the Chief Minister noted that the administration has recruited 5,388 personnel within the Health Department since 2022, including medical officers, specialist doctors, nurses, and multi-purpose health workers, to ensure public health institutions remain well-staffed.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh and local legislator Ishaan Chabbewal were present alongside other dignitaries to support the rollout of the expanded network.
