LUCKNOW, OCT 15: The Uttar Pradesh government has formally rolled out the Startup Policy-2026, aimed at transforming the state into a premier hub for innovation and business incubation. The framework concentrates heavily on emerging sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, quantum computing, and deep-tech, providing a structured mechanism for young innovators to convert ideas into viable enterprises.
Administrative officials noted that the framework rests upon six distinct pillars, spanning infrastructure enhancement, financial accessibility, skill enhancement, academic-industry linkages, ecosystem promotion, and institutional strengthening. Sumit Mahajan, Chief Executive Officer of the UP Startup Mission, affirmed that the state administration is actively working to empower the youth to emerge as job creators rather than job seekers.
To streamline implementation, the initiative introduces the StartinUP digital portal, designed to serve as a comprehensive single-window ecosystem. The platform will manage registrations, financial incentive claims, stakeholder networking, and regulatory compliance entirely online. Furthermore, authorities have integrated dedicated grievance redressal mechanisms, including a toll-free helpline and social media support channels, to assist emerging entrepreneurs across the region.
