LUCKNOW, OCT 16 — Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath affirmed that Uttar Pradesh has entered an era defined by safety, modern infrastructure, and official encouragement for athletes, moving away from previous governance marked by neglect and limited avenues for growth.

Extending warm greetings to citizens on the sixth day of Sharadiya Navratri, the Chief Minister highlighted how the government continues to foster female empowerment and sporting excellence, drawing inspiration from divine virtues.

Underlining key policy initiatives, the government affirmed that international and national medal winners are receiving direct government appointments alongside substantial financial honors through targeted schemes.

“Before 2017, the state was gripped by an atmosphere of fear and lawlessness, where daughters’ dreams were kept under watch, their aspirations were curbed, and talent was forced to wither in the absence of opportunities,” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated.

The Chief Minister asserted that over the past nine and a half years, comprehensive facilities have been constructed across every administrative level, spanning from rural playgrounds and block mini-stadiums to divisional sporting institutions and the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut.

Eminent international athletes from the state, including Parul Chaudhary, Annu Rani, Deepti Sharma, and Vandana Kataria, were acknowledged for bringing distinction to the nation through their stellar performances at Asian and Commonwealth events.
