Mansa, Oct 24: The father of slain anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota declared that he would refuse further negotiations in the presence of Mansa SSP Vaibhav Chaudhary, as the standoff surrounding his son’s post-mortem and cremation entered a tense new phase.

Bhim Singh asserted in a video statement that the family experienced disrespect during administrative meetings, maintaining that the presence of the officer they hold responsible caused deep distress.

While the state government delivered a written response addressing several key concerns, the grieving family and the action committee maintained their broader stance, continuing to press for the resignations of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Singh further questioned the validity of recent official suspensions, demanding transparent documentation and a comprehensive investigation into the roles played by local law enforcement officers.
