New Delhi, 25 February 2025— The second day of the Delhi Assembly session began with chaos as AAP MLAs disrupted Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena’s address, forcing Speaker Vijender Gupta to suspend 14 legislators for the day.

As Saxena started speaking, AAP MLAs Jarnail Singh, Anil Jha, and Vishesh Ravi raised slogans of “Jai Bhim, Jai Bhim” and “Baba Saheb ka yeh Apmaan, Nahi Sahega Hindustan.” Ignoring the Speaker’s warnings to maintain decorum, they continued protesting, leading to marshals escorting them out.

Leader of Opposition Atishi, along with Anil Jha, Jarnail Singh, Vishesh Ravi, and others, was among those expelled. As she was forced out, Atishi continued shouting slogans.

AAP has been protesting against the BJP-led Delhi government, alleging that portraits of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh were replaced with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s picture in the Chief Minister’s Office.

However, the BJP released an image of the office showing both portraits still present, suggesting they had only been relocated.

After being removed from the House, Atishi held a press conference, questioning why Bhagat Singh’s portrait was removed from BJP minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s office and Ambedkar’s from Kapil Mishra’s. “They have to answer this,” she said, accusing the BJP of prioritizing Modi over national icons.
