Chandigarh, 25 February — The Punjab Vidhan Sabha unanimously passed a resolution condemning the alleged removal of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Bhagat Singh’s photos from the Delhi Chief Minister’s office and offices of ministers and MLAs.
Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, who moved the resolution, called the act “anti-Dalit” and an insult to the architect of the Constitution. “This is not just disrespectful but a deliberate attempt to erase their legacy,” he mentioned. The Assembly decided to write to the President of India regarding the issue.
The opposition Congress backed the resolution, while AAP MLA Dr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi accused the BJP of working against Dalits and minorities.
