Chandigarh, May 29: The Aam Aadmi Party celebrated a major victory at its Punjab headquarters following a dominant performance in the municipal and council elections. Senior party leaders gathered to mark the occasion, attributing the electoral success to public satisfaction with the administration’s performance over the last four years.

“Across Punjab, people have given a clear message that they value good governance and are satisfied with the work of the government,” stated AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia during the celebrations.

The gathering included Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, and Media in-charge Baltej Pannu, alongside numerous party workers. Leaders maintained that the election outcomes reflect public endorsement of the welfare initiatives led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the political vision of Arvind Kejriwal.

Sisodia asserted that urban voters have echoed the support previously shown in rural panchayat elections, solidifying the party’s influence across both sectors. He noted that the electorate responded favorably to systemic changes implemented in electricity, water, employment, education, and health.

“The aware voters of Punjab have made it clear that there is no place for the politics of revenge,” Sisodia declared, while noting that the Bharatiya Janata Party faced widespread rejection, resulting in 1,142 of its candidates forfeiting their security deposits.

Party officials stated that the newly elected mayors and councilors will immediately begin grassroots collaboration with the chief minister. The leadership affirmed that this localized development strategy is designed to maintain administrative momentum ahead of the 2027 assembly elections.
