Ludhiana, 16 Feb – The wife of a local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was killed during a robbery near Rurka village, about 40 km from Ludhiana, police said Sunday.
The incident took place Saturday night when AAP leader Anokh Mittal and his wife, Lipsy Mittal, were returning home after dinner at a hotel on the Ludhiana-Malerkotla road.
Following the killing, Lipsy Mittal’s relatives gathered outside the hospital Sunday evening, protesting and demanding immediate action from authorities.
“A probe is underway, and efforts are being made to arrest those involved,” a senior police officer said.
