Fatehgarh Sahib, Dec. 9, 2025 — Aam Aadmi Party MLA Dr. Balbir Singh conducted a surprise inspection of multiple health centers across Fatehgarh Sahib on Tuesday, reviewing staff performance, medicine availability, and patient services.
“Every citizen must receive quality healthcare without discrimination,” Dr. Singh said during his visit. “Our goal is to ensure government hospitals offer facilities comparable to private institutions.”
During the inspection, Dr. Singh spoke directly with patients to understand their concerns and held discussions with medical staff and officers about improving service delivery. He also checked cleanliness and instructed staff to treat patients with sensitivity.
Several health initiatives under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government, including Mohalla Clinics, Aam Aadmi Clinics, and modern equipment upgrades at primary health centers, aim to bring quality care closer to residents’ homes. “Any shortcomings we find are immediately addressed,” Dr. Singh added.
Local residents praised the visit. A patient’s relative said, “When leaders themselves come and listen, we feel confident that our voices are being heard.” Dr. Singh affirmed that surprise inspections will continue and urged citizens to report any problems in government departments, promising that complaints will be taken seriously.
The Mann government has also focused on education, employment, and infrastructure, emphasizing transparency and accountability. Dr. Singh’s inspection underlines the administration’s commitment to delivering services directly to the public.
