Abohar, March 6: Akriti Singla, a resident of Abohar, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the 122nd rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2025. The results, which were declared on Friday, position her to join the Indian Police Service (IPS).
The UPSC confirmed that a total of 958 candidates have been shortlisted this year for various prestigious roles, including the IAS, IFS, and IRS. Singla, who has a strong academic background in commerce, stated that her primary motivation for attempting the examination was a long-held desire to serve the country and society.
A graduate of Daulat Ram College and Hansraj College under Delhi University, Singla previously topped the UGC NET-JRF in Commerce. Her father, Pawan Singla, affirmed that the family has been overwhelmed by congratulatory messages from the community since the news broke. He maintained that Akriti’s success is a direct result of her unwavering determination and dedication to her goals.
Local residents and well-wishers have expressed immense pride in her accomplishment, noting that her journey from Abohar to the national civil services serves as an inspiration for local students. Officials asserted that the successful candidates will soon be assigned to their respective Group A and Group B posts within the central government.
