Mumbai/Chandigarh, 31st October 2024: Singer Adnan Sami issued a strong rebuke against British-American internet personality Andrew Tate on Thursday, condemning Tate’s racist comments directed at Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh. Tate, notorious for his inflammatory remarks and legal controversies, recently mocked Dosanjh in response to a viral video where the singer presented his jacket to a female fan, commenting, “Bet it stinks of curry.”
Sami, who gained Indian citizenship a few years ago, defended both Dosanjh and the broader Indian community, calling out Tate’s derogatory remarks. He reminded Tate of his own legal battles, including charges involving organized crime, human trafficking, and sexual assault.
“Wrong… It smelled of ‘love,’ and the best part was that none of the audience members were ‘rapists’ or ‘child traffickers’ like what you’re accused of and arrested for, which surely smells of shit!! So STFU (sic),” Sami wrote in a scathing social media post.
Known for his polarizing online persona, Tate has faced multiple allegations, including human trafficking, and money laundering.
Sami’s sharp response resonated with many, as he stood up against stereotypes often leveled against Indian culture and expressed solidarity with Dosanjh and his fans.
