Mohali/GURUGRAM, Dec 30: A 25-year-old air hostess from Punjab’s Mohali died under suspicious circumstances in Gurugram on Sunday, hours after attending a party at a friend’s residence, police said.
The woman, identified as Simran Dadwal, worked with Air India and had earlier been employed with Vistara Airlines. She was visiting a friend in DLF Phase 1 when the incident occurred.
According to police, Simran attended a late-night gathering on Saturday where liquor was served. “After the party, everyone went to sleep,” a senior police officer said.
Around 5 a.m. on Sunday, Simran reportedly complained of breathing difficulty and alerted her friends. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
Police conducted a postmortem examination later in the day and handed over the body to the family. “Viscera samples have been preserved and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory in Madhuban,” the officer said. “The exact cause of death will be known only after the report is received.”
The officer said the death is being treated as suspicious. “No complaint has been filed by the family so far. Further action will be taken based on the forensic report and facts that emerge during the investigation,” he said.
