Ambala, Jan 19: Police launched an intensive search operation across multiple educational institutions in Ambala on Monday following a series of anonymous bomb threats delivered via email.

The threats disrupted the academic day as security forces cordoned off campuses to conduct thorough inspections of the buildings and surrounding grounds.

Local law enforcement moved quickly to secure the sites after school administrators reported receiving the alarming messages.

The situation in Ambala mirrors a similar wave of threats that hit the national capital in December, which also targeted schools through digital communication.

Riverside DAV Public School in Ambala Cantonment was among the institutions targeted. Seema Dutt, the school principal, confirmed that the administration took immediate action to ensure student safety as soon as the threat surfaced.

“We informed the police after receiving an anonymous email. Police personnel reached here; we are on alert. A total of three schools have received this email,” Dutt said.

While the search operations continued throughout the day, officials noted that authorities remain on high alert to prevent any potential incidents.

Parents were seen arriving at various campuses to collect their children following the news of the security breach.
