Ayodhya, March 12 — Amitabh Bachchan has made his second investment in Ayodhya since the consecration of the Ram Mandir in 2024, purchasing a 54,454-square-foot plot through the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Trust.
The land, located 10 kilometers from the temple, was acquired on behalf of the actor by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav, The Times of India reported.
Previous Investment in Ayodhya
Bachchan’s first land purchase in the city took place on January 16, 2024, when he bought property in Haveli Avadh for ₹4.54 crore. The latest acquisition is reportedly intended for charitable purposes, while the earlier plot is expected to be used for residential purposes, according to sources.
Officials Confirm Transactions
Pratap Singh, assistant inspector general of the stamp and registration department in Ayodhya, confirmed the sale deeds.
“We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place. Once the building plan is approved by the local development authority, one would know what is going to be the purpose of the two investments,” Singh told TOI.
