Chandigarh, March 3: Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk expressed deep emotional distress on Monday, revealing that his wife and six-year-old daughter are currently stranded in the United Arab Emirates. The family is caught amid regional instability following military strikes in the Middle East, which have led to widespread flight cancellations and travel disruptions for thousands of Punjabis.

In a poignant social media post, the “Bad Newz” star shared the personal toll the conflict has taken on his family. He stated that his daughter’s attempts to be brave were particularly difficult to hear. “Papa, I will hide under my bed if something happens. I’m a strong girl, Papa don’t worry’ is not what a father wants to hear,” Virk maintained. He affirmed that despite his public persona, the safety of his loved ones remains his primary concern.

The Punjab government has moved quickly to address the crisis. Aam Aadmi Party general secretary Baltej Pannu contacted Virk to offer support, stating that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is personally supervising the efforts to assist stranded citizens. Pannu asserted that the state government stands firmly with all affected families and is working to coordinate with the Central government for a diplomatic resolution.

Virk also acknowledged the efforts of local authorities in the Gulf. “The UAE government is working tirelessly to ensure that people remain safe and supported during this time,” he declared. He added that his prayers extend to all families experiencing similar anxiety during this period of uncertainty.
