CHANDIGARH: Apple introduced its first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, featuring a 7.6-inch inner display and an ultra-thin 5.2mm profile when unfolded. Unveiled at the company’s Cupertino headquarters, the flagship device debuts starting at Rs 2,99,900 for the 256GB base configuration, extending up to Rs 4,49,900 for the top-tier 2TB model. Built with a Grade 5 titanium frame, the hardware incorporates dual Ceramic Shield protection, an IP68 water-resistance rating, and an eSIM-only design across all markets.

Under the hood, the device is powered by the A20 Pro chipset manufactured on a 2nm architecture, paired with a dual-battery system distributed across both sides of the hinge. The company noted that the foldable display runs on a redesigned iOS 27 interface optimized for multi-app workflows, with Apple Pencil support planned for later release. Authentication transitions to a side-mounted Touch ID sensor, while imaging duties are handled by a dual 48MP Fusion camera system that leverages the flexible form factor for live preview framing.
