Mohali, December 31, 2025: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday witnessed another boost to its organisational strength with around 58 families from Balongi joining the party in the Mohali Assembly constituency. The families joined AAP under the leadership of Block President Harmesh Singh Kumbda, Councillor and Women Wing Constituency Coordinator Ramanpreet Kaur Kumbda (S.A.S. Nagar), Balongi Women Wing Block Coordinator Rita, and Balmiki Colony President Sarabjit Singh Rocky.

The new members were formally welcomed by MLA Kulwant Singh at the party office in Sector 79. Addressing the media, the legislator said the growing public support reflects confidence in the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the development-oriented initiatives being undertaken under the guidance of AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal.
Kulwant Singh said that over the past several days, people have been leaving the Congress and other political parties in large numbers to join AAP. He added that 50 families from Sectors 70 and 114 had recently joined the party, and the induction of families from the Balmiki community in Balongi marks another significant step in strengthening grassroots support.

Assuring the newly inducted members, the MLA said the party remains committed to the welfare and development of all communities, and that there would be no delay in addressing their concerns or requirements. He said all genuine issues would be taken up and resolved within a stipulated timeframe.
Taking a swipe at opposition parties, Kulwant Singh said their leaders have little substance left to criticise the AAP government, resulting in daily baseless statements. He said the people of Punjab are focused on progress and prosperity, and the state government is making consistent and concrete efforts to implement welfare schemes on the ground.
He further said that AAP workers and volunteers regularly conduct ward- and village-level surveys, compile reports, and submit them to concerned departments, following which a structured plan is prepared to resolve public grievances. Due to this approach, he said, people no longer place any trust in what he termed as misleading claims made by opposition leaders.

Kulwant Singh said the process of people joining the Aam Aadmi Party would continue in the coming days, as individuals from various religious, social, and community backgrounds are reaching out to the party. He also appreciated the role of Harmesh Singh Kumbda, Councillor Ramanpreet Kaur Kumbda, Rita, Sarabjit Singh, and other party functionaries in strengthening the party’s organisational framework.
Several party workers and local residents, including Rahul, Ankush, Abhishek, Sachin, Amar, Sahil, Akash, Arun, Inder, Deepak, Anand, Mohan Lal, Sushil Kumar, Rupesh Kumar, Pooja, Ajay, Satish Kumar, Ashok, Madan Lal, Vijay, Sandeep Kumar, Bablu, Lalo, Mari Muto, Gobind, Gautam, Surinder, and Ashish, were present on the occasion.
