New Delhi, Sept 27 — In a major breakthrough against cross-border terror networks, Babbar Khalsa terrorist Parminder Singh alias Pindi has been extradited from the United Arab Emirates to India.

Pindi, a close associate of foreign-based terrorists Harwinder Singh Rinda and Happy Passia, had been on the radar of security agencies for his involvement in a series of violent crimes in Punjab, including petrol bomb attacks and running extortion rackets in Batala and Gurdaspur.

According to officials, Pindi was facing multiple cases under stringent provisions of law for terror financing, attempts to spread fear, and targeting businessmen and political figures in the border districts. His extradition comes as part of India’s continuing efforts to dismantle terror modules with overseas links.

“His return marks a significant step in choking the operational and financial networks of Babbar Khalsa operatives who have been using foreign soil to direct activities in Punjab,” an intelligence officer said, adding that he will be produced before the court soon.

Pindi’s deportation follows a series of coordinated efforts between Indian security agencies and authorities in the UAE. Officials said his interrogation is likely to provide crucial leads on the network of Rinda and Passia, who have been directing operations from abroad.
