Hamirpur, Apr 27 — A balloon marked with the words “Pakistan Airlines” was found in the village of Karnehda in Himachal Pradesh’s Hamirpur district on Saturday, sparking an investigation by local authorities.
The balloon was discovered near the border of Hamirpur and Bilaspur districts, with locals promptly alerting the police.
Upon recovery, the balloon, measuring approximately 1.5 feet in length and width, was taken into police custody.
Hamirpur SP Bhagat Singh Thakur stated, “The balloon with ‘Pakistan Airlines’ written on it was found, but based on its size and appearance, it seems more like a toy.”
He added that the police are currently looking into the source of the balloon.
Authorities believe the balloon may have been discarded in the area, but the investigation continues.
