CHANDIGARH, March 4: — Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary Baltej Pannu reached out to renowned Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk on Monday to inquire about the safety of his family currently stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). During the telephonic conversation, Pannu affirmed that the state administration remains fully committed to supporting the Virk family during the ongoing Middle East crisis.

The outreach comes as the Punjab government intensifies its efforts to monitor the well-being of its citizens caught in the war-like conditions currently affecting Gulf nations. Pannu stated that the government stands firmly with the artist and his relatives, declaring that every possible resource would be utilized to facilitate their secure passage back to India.

“The Punjab government stands firmly with them like a rock,” Pannu asserted while reassuring the actor of the state’s solidarity. He noted that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is personally supervising the situation and intended to coordinate directly with the central government. Pannu maintained that the safety of Punjabi nationals abroad is a paramount concern for the current administration.

The General Secretary also expressed a broader hope for the cessation of hostilities in the region. He stated that the government is prepared to engage in necessary political and diplomatic dialogues with Union authorities to resolve the matter. Pannu declared that the state would continue to work alongside the Centre to find an immediate solution for all residents currently trapped in the conflict zone.
