Chandigarh, October 22, 2024 — As Punjab prepares for by-elections on November 13 in four assembly seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced three of its candidates. Ravikaran Kahlon will represent Dera Baba Nanak, Manpreet Singh Badal is set to contest from Giddarbaha, and Kewal Singh Dhillon has been nominated for the Barnala seat.
However, the BJP has yet to announce its candidate for the Chabewal constituency. The party’s selections come as the election season heats up in Punjab, with all eyes on the upcoming polls.
The bypolls to four assembly seats — Gidderbaha, Dera Baba Nanak, Chabbewal and Barnala — were necessitated after MLAs representing them were elected to the Lok Sabha.
