Chandigarh, December 4, 2024 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab has intensified preparations for the upcoming municipal council elections, aiming to strengthen its position after setbacks in the recent assembly polls.

Despite losing all four assembly seats in previous elections, the BJP is focusing on the municipal polls, with the election schedule set to be announced on December 8.

Senior leader Kewal Singh Dhillon, in charge of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections, held a key meeting in Ludhiana alongside District President Rajnish Dhiman and senior leader Avinash Roy Khanna to review strategies and gather worker feedback.

During the meeting, Dhillon expressed confidence in the BJP’s readiness, stating that the party will contest all 95 wards independently and aims to secure the mayor’s position in Ludhiana. The BJP’s renewed efforts mark a strategic push to regain its foothold in Punjab politics.
