New Delhi, 23 February 2025— The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will present the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report in the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday, detailing alleged corruption during the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s tenure.

BJP MLA Harish Khurana said the report would expose irregularities across multiple sectors, including the excise policy, education policies, and the renovation of the former chief minister’s residence, which BJP has dubbed “Sheesh Mahal.”

“The report will be tabled in the House, and many things will come to light. Whether it is education, liquor, or Sheesh Mahal, the truth will be revealed,” Khurana told ANI on Sunday.

The first session of the newly formed Delhi Assembly begins on February 24, with MLAs taking the oath and electing a Speaker before the report’s presentation the following day.

Khurana criticized AAP for not tabling the report earlier, stating that the BJP-led administration would now ensure governance follows legal and constitutional procedures.

“This report should have been tabled in the 7th Assembly as per the rules. But from now on, the Delhi government will function as per the law and the Constitution,” he added.

The CAG report has become a flashpoint between the BJP and AAP. According to ANI, it flagged a ₹2,026 crore revenue loss due to irregularities in the Delhi excise policy.

It cited deviations from policy objectives, lack of transparency in pricing, and unpenalized violations in license issuance.
