Fazilka, Feb 13: Punjab Cabinet Minister and AAP state president Aman Arora’s father-in-law, Sandeep Gilhotra, passed away early Friday morning. The 70-year-old entrepreneur and prominent landlord breathed his last following a brief illness.
Family members confirmed that the cremation is scheduled for 3 p.m. today in his native town of Fazilka. Gilhotra was the father of Karan Gilhotra, who serves as the co-chairman of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Punjab.
He had been receiving medical care at AIIMS Bathinda for the past five days. Doctors noted that he was being treated for a stomach-related ailment before his condition deteriorated.
“He was a pillar of the community and a visionary in the business sector,” a family associate said while mourning the loss. The sudden demise has drawn condolences from various political and business circles across the state, acknowledging his contributions to the regional economy.
