CGC Landran Hosts ‘Build with AI’ Bootcamp to Boost Industry Readiness

Students gain hands-on experience with Google AI tools for real-world deployment

Mohali, April 7: The Department of Emerging Technologies at Chandigarh Engineering College (CEC), CGC Landran, recently organized the ‘Build with AI Bootcamp’ to provide students with practical technical expertise. Held in collaboration with Google for Developers and powered by Hack2Skill, the workshop focused on the theme ‘Learn, Build and Deploy with Google AI,’ bringing together academic learners and industry experts.

Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director at CGC Landran, affirmed that such initiatives are vital for bridging the gap between classroom study and professional requirements. “Initiatives like the Build with AI Bootcamp play an important role in aligning academic learning with industry expectations,” Dr. Singh stated, noting that these platforms prepare students for the evolving AI landscape.

The event featured intensive sessions on machine learning models, generative AI, and cloud-based deployment. Industry specialists, including Shweta Singh and Prabav Walia, shared insights into current innovation practices and the application of AI in sectors such as cybersecurity and healthcare.

Participants were encouraged to move beyond theory by engaging in hands-on activities designed to solve complex automation and education challenges.

Dr. Kapil Mehta, Head of the Department of Emerging Technologies, maintained that the primary goal was to foster a problem-solving mindset among the attendees.

“The objective of this bootcamp was to equip students with practical AI skills and a problem-solving mindset,” Dr. Mehta asserted.

He added that exposure to contemporary industry tools is a necessity for students navigating today’s technological demands.

The bootcamp concluded by reinforcing the college’s commitment to integrating emerging technologies into its academic framework.
