Moga, April 5: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Saturday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a series of development initiatives in Moga totaling several crores. The projects focus on a comprehensive overhaul of the district’s road network, modernization of the electrical grid, and the introduction of administrative reforms aimed at simplifying land division for rural residents.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is committed to an execution-driven model that prioritizes tangible improvements in daily life. Among the key announcements, Mann affirmed that the Takseem campaign will commence on April 13, allowing citizens to settle land division matters through mutual agreement at local tehsils.
“Punjab is now keeping pace with time and will soon become the number one state in the country,” the Chief Minister declared during the state-level event.
In the power sector, projects worth ₹18.80 crore were launched to strengthen the region’s energy infrastructure. These include the installation of high-capacity transformers at Rasungawala and Sosan, which officials asserted will stabilize the supply for Moga city and nine surrounding villages. Additionally, Mann affirmed that over 47 km of the Moga–Kotkapura and Moga–Dharamkot routes are undergoing high-quality upgrades to improve regional connectivity.
Addressing agricultural concerns, the Chief Minister maintained that the government will ensure the procurement of every grain of wheat during the upcoming season. He stated that if private intermediaries hesitate to purchase, cooperative societies have been instructed to step in to protect the interests of the farming community.
